Strategic Areas

Considering a larger, more updated and simpler context, EDCV sets out four strategic areas of action, aligned with the Cape Verde vision to transform into a Regional ICT HUB

Connectivity

Cape Verde aims to build a converged communications network (Internet), made up of submarine fiber-optic cables linking the Atlantic shores.

Capacity Building

“A Cape Verdean citizen of the world and in the world " Cape Verde intends to bring about, in this generation, changes in the learning of "basic skills" in the field of digital tools, with a view to their use in economic and social activities

Service Provision

The capacity of NOSi-EPE, with 20 years of experience in the niche of e-governance (value added), will be converted into a driver of the creation of the ex-Telecom ICT market alongside the private sector.

Governance

The state must be conceived as an entity inserted in the digital environment, in which public policies are designed as digital solutions. The leap from "e-government" to the Digital Government must be made.

Consultation with Cabo Verde’s Diaspora in Boston

Meeting with World Bank advisors to the Government of Cabo Verde (GCV), in regards to the Government's vision to transform the country into a regional Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Hub . The meeting will be held on Monday, April 8, 3:00-5:15pm, at the Consulate's office - 300 Congress Street, Unit 204, Quincy, MA 02169.
